August 6th Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors Orientation
Anyone in grades 10th-12th will report to the gym and pick up their schedules. You can pick up schedules from 9AM to 11AM or 1PM to 3PM. Those are the only windows that students can pick up their schedules.

August 6th Freshman Orientation
All Freshmen will report to the gym to pick up their schedules from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

If you are not able to pickup your schedules during those specific times, you will get your schedules the first day of school. Also, you are welcomed to get into i-Now and print your schedule before the first day of school.


Any student (10th-12th grades) planning to take a Dual Enrollment class at Southern Union may contact a school counselor to schedule an appointment. Early registration begins at Southern Union on July 15. All schedules must be finalized with your school counselor by August 2.

*English 101 (11th and/or 12th Grade) will be offered on the VHS campus this year. Please see a counselor if you are interested.

*Southern Union offers scholarship opportunity for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program. Please see a counselor if you are interested.  

*You MUST have applied and sent a copy of your ID to Southern Union prior to meeting with a counselor.

For Clarification: You should be receiving an appointment card from Prestige in the mail. Once you have gotten it, you need to confirm the appointment using the website. All students will receive an appointment card in the mail.

Lifetouch sent all students an email/link to their personal email address to view/order pictures. If you did not receive an email then:

Report card pick up will be in the Attendance Office. Wednesday, May 29th and Thursday, May 30th. Monday, June 3rd – Thursday, June 6th 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.Report cards will be discarded after June 6th.Student or parent must be present to pick up the report card. Report cards will not be given to siblings.

*Mrs. Baker would like to thank each student who applied to become a member of the 2019-2020 Annual Staff. Because we had so many wonderful, qualified candidates, choosing next year's staff was quiet a challenge. Congratulations to each of the following students for being chosen to help create a book of lasting memories for 2019-2020.....Keeli Beaulieu, Jacyn Brewer, Meagan Brown, Reese Bryson, Kynnedi Crim, Morgan Crowder, Amanda Doan, Ambreonia Garner, Payton Hernandez, Arsheika Mitchell, Tiffany Tittle, Malayja Walton, Faith Williams and Maddie Williams.

*Tryouts for the boys b-team and varsity basketball team will be held on May 21st through the 23rd at 3:30 in the VHS gym. You MUST have a current physical on file in order to try out.
*Report card pick up will be in the Attendance Office. Wednesday--May 29th, Thursday--May 30th, and Monday--June 3rd through Thursday, June 6th. Report Cards will be discarded after June 6th. Student or parent must be present to pick up the report card. Report cards will not be given to siblings. If students prefer their report card to be mailed, he/she must bring a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Attendance Office by Tuesday.

*Softball Tryouts will be from 4:00-6:00 today, Friday May 17th after school at the Valley Sportsplex. All ladies in 7th - 12th grade are encouraged to tryout. If you are interested, please pick up a physical from from Mrs. Phillips in the library. This form MUST be completed by a doctor and turned in before tryouts.

*The Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting application for junior ambassadors. The Chamber's Jr. Ambassadors are students in grades 9 - 12 in area schools. Under the guidance of the Chamber Staff, the Junior Ambassadors representatives make their own significant contributions while learning the personal benefits of volunteerism. They also assist with Chamber events as they are developed. For many, serving as a Jr. Ambassador is the first step in lifelong volunteerism and community service. If you are interested in becoming a Jr. Ambassador, visit the link below to complete an application. If you have any questions, please see your counselor.

*Blizzards will be sold after school at the window in the main office for $3 each.
