The Chambers County School District would like to welcome home Josh Bryan as the Principal/Director of Inspire Academy (Career Tech Center). Mr. Bryan has 9 years of experience in Chambers County and graduated from Valley High School before pursuing his degree in Agriscience Education at Alabama A&M University. He also recently received the Honorary State FFA Degree (the highest honor they award) during the 97th Alabama FFA Convention (pictured). Congratulations and welcome back to the CCSD Family.


Chambers County School Dress Code 2025-2026

The School Board acknowledges that a correlation exists between good grooming, personal attire, and student achievement. A similar relationship exists between student dress and acceptable standards of conduct. The dress code is designed to allow for student comfort while maintaining an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the educational setting. Students are expected to follow the dress code while at school, on a school bus, or at a school function (on and off campus).
All students are expected to be neat, clean, and appropriately dressed at all times. Students will be restricted from attending and/or participating in school-sponsored activities dressed or groomed in such a manner that it is disruptive to the operation of the educational program or creates a health or safety problem.
Shirts and Dresses:
Shirts - Collared or crew neck shirt, or dresses with sleeves or turtleneck – with or without logo
Solid, striped, or patterned allowed
School Spirit (your school or feeder pattern schools) T Shirt
Tucking in shirts is not required.
Sweatshirts and Sweaters:
Solid, striped, or patterned allowed
School Spirit Sweatshirts are allowed
Hoodies – Hoods cannot be worn on the head while in school buildings
Pants:
Shorts, pants, jumpers, capris, skirts, or skorts
Any solid-colored pants, including denim
No rips, holes, or tears
Jeggings or tights permitted under dresses or skirts, but not alone
Clothing must be of the appropriate length and fit to be acceptable; short pants and skirts must extend beyond either the fingertips when the student extends arms downward along their sides or reach the mid-thigh, whichever is longer.
Pants must be worn at the waist.
Shoes/Footwear
All students will wear closed-toed and closed-heeled shoes at all times
House shoes, flip-flops, sandals, slides, shoes with cleats, and shoes with wheels are not permitted.
Coats and Jackets:
• Any color (mixed or solid)
• No pictures, emblems, or writings on coats or jackets that:
Are lewd, offensive, vulgar, or obscene
Advertises or depicts tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, drugs, or any other illegal substance, or contains fighting words, or incites criminal activity
Create a disruption to the learning environment
If jackets/coats have hoods, then hoods cannot be worn on the head while in school buildings.
ITEMS NOT ALLOWED TO BE WORN BY STUDENTS:
Wind pants/Sweatpants (allowed as part of PE uniform only)
Velour pants
Oversized or ripped clothing
Clothing with cuts, slits, holes or slashes
Clothing with a revealing low-cut neckline, bare midriff, and see-through material.
Sleeveless shirts
Overcoats/Trench Coats
Sunglasses (unless a documented medical reason is provided)
No head coverings - Religious and/or medical exemptions are given with appropriate documentation.
Grades 6-12 – No athletic shorts can be worn during the regular school day
No clothing article or apparel that displays obscene words, pictures, or designs, including but not limited to any article that conveys a sexually suggestive remark, violence-related, gang-related, a pro-alcohol message, a tobacco and/or drug-related message.


The Chambers County School District recognized and celebrated the retirees for the 2024-2025 school year at the May, 14 board meeting. Combined, they dedicated 321 years to our school district. We want to thank all of them for their service and wish them our best in their future endeavors.

Chambers County School District will be on Spring Break March 24-28. There will be no school for students or staff. The Central Office will be open Monday the 24th and Tuesday the 25th until noon each day. The Central Office will be closed the 26th - 28th.

The school district would like to express our sincere gratitude and congratulations to our Child Nutrition Teams. They work tirelessly to ensure our students receive healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals. The health department has awarded each of them a perfect score of 100. Thanks for all you do and for making the lives and learning of our students easier.







Chambers County Schools will only be having a half day of instruction for students on February 26, 2025. All CCSD staff will be having professional development training that afternoon. Students will be released at 12:00 noon local time at each school.

As we celebrate Black History Month, we want to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for ALL OF OUR AFRICAN AMERICAN EDUCATORS, PAST AND PRESENT. We would like to acknowledge some of our previous African American employees at the upcoming Board Meeting. We invite you to attend this special gathering honoring these extraordinary former employees. The meeting will be held at LaFayette High School’s auditorium on February 19th at 4:00 PM Central.

We are excited to celebrate Valentine's Day this Friday, however, we want to send a reminder that balloons, flowers, and gifts may not be delivered or brought to the school for students, as they will not be accepted. Thank you for understanding!

Due to a number of our students, teachers, and staff coming from areas still affected by icy road conditions, CCSD will be closed for Students and Staff on Friday the 24th. We have listened to the input from our staff and parents and made this decision for the safety of everyone in the school district. We will return to our regular schedule on Monday.


Chambers County Schools will be back in session and operating our normal schedule on Friday, January 24, 2025. The County EMA and Road Department have been assessing the roads and will treat any remaining icy spots today. Buses will run at their regular time.


We have been in contact with the Chambers County EMA this morning concerning expected conditions for tomorrow. With the current travel conditions and the uncertainty of travel conditions in the morning, Chambers County Schools will be closed tomorrow January 23rd, for students and staff. No new work will be assigned. We plan to resume normal school operations on Friday.


With the extreme cold forecasted for our area, students will learn virtually Tuesday and Wednesday. Check Google Classrooms for assignments. Stay safe and warm.
